Montell (Monty) W. Irvin, P.E., PTOE, is a professional engineer specializing in transportation engineering. He is the president and chief executive officer of Ramey Kemp & Associates Inc., a transportation engineering, planning and design firm headquartered in Raleigh.
Irvin is active in a number of organizations, including the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina and the Boy Scouts of America. He was also appointed to serve on the Hurricane Matthew Recovery Committee.
A native of southern Louisiana, Irvin received his Bachelor of Science in civil engineering from Louisiana State University. He has also completed graduate-level continuing education at North Carolina State University.
His term on the N.C. Turnpike Authority Board of Directors runs from 2019 to 2023.
