Following each Adopt-A-Highway cleanup, volunteers must contact the N.C. Department of Transportation to arrange for collected trash to be picked up.
To submit a report
online, gather the following information:
- The "Pickup Key" associated with the cleanup
- The number of people who participated in the cleanup
- The number of hours each volunteer worked (round up hours if needed)
- The number of of recyclables and trash
