MOYOCK - The N.C. Department of
Transportation is inviting the public to an informal-style meeting Thursday,
June 21, to learn more about the proposed improvements to Old Swamp Road/South
Mills Road between N.C. Highway 343 in Camden County and N.C. Highway 168
(Caratoke Highway) in Currituck County.
The purpose of the meeting is to inform the public of the project
and gather public input on the proposed design. Preliminary plans for the
project are available on the NCDOT Public Meetings
website.
The meeting will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. at Moyock Baptist Church,
located at 123 Oak Street in Moyock. Interested citizens may attend the meeting
at any time, as no formal presentations will be made. NCDOT and consultant
staff will be on hand to provide information on the project, answer questions,
and receive comments. The opportunity to submit written comments will also be
provided at the meeting or can be done via phone, email or mail by July 12,
2018.
