KANNAPOLIS– Weather permitting, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close East First Street near Kennedy Street on Monday, March 11, to replace a drainage pipe under the roadway. The road is scheduled to reopen March 13.
During the closure, a marked detour will take motorists from East First Street to U.S. 29, Chipola Street and Little Texas Road, returning to East First Street.
