GREENSBORO – The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to temporarily close a single lane along a section of U.S. 29 in Guilford County on Sunday to apply new pavement markings.
Beginning at 6 a.m., work crews will close one of four of the lanes on U.S. 29 Southbound for about a half-mile stretch between Hicone Road and the I-785 interchange. The lane closure will allow crews to install new chevrons and diagonal lines. Work is expected to be completed by noon.
Drivers should be advised to use caution and slow down while passing through the work zones.
