KERNERSVILLE – A bridge on Hastings Hill Road over the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway (Future I-74) was temporarily closed for an emergency inspection after being struck by an over height vehicle.
Officials from NCDOT’s Structures Management Unit have determined the road can be opened to two-way traffic if the travel lanes on the bridge are shifted and narrowed, so crews are placing temporary pavement markings so repairs can get underway.
Drivers should be mindful of crews working in this location and allow extra time to reach their destination.
