CHARLOTTE – N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews tonight will continue a $16.3 million project to improve 22 bridges along Interstate 277, requiring several ramp closures.
Starting at 9 p.m., crews will close ramps from South Boulevard, Kenilworth Avenue and E Fourth Street to the outer loop, and from the outer loop to U.S. 74 West and Kenilworth Avenue.
Other ramp closures include those from South Boulevard and Church Street to the inner loop, and from the inner loop to I-77 North.
Crews will work in these areas until 6 a.m. Tuesday and each night through Monday morning, Sept. 28.
The closures are weather dependent and subject to change. Detour information will be online at DriveNC.gov under Mecklenburg County.
