STATESVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation plans to close part of an Iredell County road for one week to repair damage caused by the inclement weather event in November.
Road crews will close Northside Drive near Center Street on Wednesday, Jan. 20, to fix an embankment failure caused by flooding. Work is expected to be completed by Jan. 27.
Eastbound traffic will be detoured to I-40, N.C. 115 and U.S. 64. Westbound traffic will follow N.C. 115 to Bradley Farm Road, Monticello Road, N.C. 90 and back to U.S. 64.
Drivers should remain alert when approaching the work zone and expect delays while using detours.
