CURRITUCK – The N.C. Department of Transportation Ferry System’s Currituck-Knotts Island route will be closed on Wednesday as crews replace the route’s vessel.
On Wednesday, the crew from Currituck will take the M/V James B. Hunt to the State Shipyard in Manns Harbor for routine scheduled maintenance. They will then return to Currituck with the M/V Frisco, which will service the route in the interim.
The Currituck-Knotts Island route will resume regular scheduled service on Thursday.
