WINSTON-SALEM – Starting tonight and continuing into the following week, an N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will have several nightly closures for the ongoing improvement project along Interstate 40 in Forsyth County, weather permitting.
From tonight to Nov. 18, two of four lanes of the N.C. 66 bridge over I-40 will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning.
The following ramp closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- On Nov. 14, the ramp from Stratford Road to I-40 West will be closed with a signed detour.
- On Nov. 18, the ramp from Union Cross Road to I-40 East will be closed with a signed detour.
From Nov. 14-17, one of two lanes of I-40 West will be closed nightly from the Guilford County line to Union Cross Road from 8 p.m.-5 a.m.
From 9 p.m. Nov. 14 to 11:30 p.m. Nov. 18, the far right turning lane on the Hanes Mall Boulevard ramp from I-40 West will be closed.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
