WESTFIELD – Next month, the N.C. Department of Transportation will close a road in Stokes County for three months for a bridge replacement, weather permitting.
Beginning Feb. 14, both lanes of N.C. 66 will be closed between Taylor Road and Moore Springs Road. The closure will allow crews to safely replace the bridge over Vade Mecum Creek with a culvert. Work is expected to be complete by May 27.
Traffic will use a detour following Taylor Road back onto N.C. 66.
Motorists are advised to remain alert while approaching the area and plan for delays due to the detour.
