GARNER – Bridge demolition as part of the widening project from Southeast Raleigh to Clayton will require some overnight closures of U.S. 70 Business at Interstate 40 West beginning tonight.
There will be nightly lane closures on westbound U.S. 70 Business with 30-minute closures occurring between 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. beginning tonight and recurring for the next two weeks.
These closures will allow for the safe demolition of the I-40 East bridges over U.S. 70 Business.
Following two weeks of closures on the westbound side, two more weeks of closures on the eastbound side of U.S. 70 Business will commence.
Drivers need to slow down and use extra caution when going through the work zone.
