Three Culvert Replacements Planned on Rowan County Roads

CASTOR –  The N.C. Department of Transportation will close multiple roads in Rowan County on three separate days next week for culvert replacements.

On April 19, Wyatt Grove Church Road will be closed near the 2180 address for about two days. A signed detour will be in place using Surratt Road and Bringle Ferry Road back to Wyatt Grove Church Road.

On April 20, White Road will be closed near the Baines Drive intersection for about two days. A signed detour will be in place using Lyerly Road, Graham Road, N.C. 801 and Sherrills Ford Road back to White Road.

On April 21, Vineyard Drive will be closed near the 1170 address for about two days. A signed detour will be in place using Peach Tree Lane and Peach Orchard Road back to Vineyard Drive.

These closures are necessary to replace the failed storm drain culverts that cross under the roadways to prevent damage to the roadway and adjacent properties.

The alternate dates for these jobs are April 25-29.

Motorists should plan for delays and use extra caution when using detours.
