REIDSVILLE – A section of a local road will be closed for a couple months while crews replace a large culvert underneath the roadway.
Parkland Road is set to be closed just north of Harrison Street (N.C. 65/87) from the morning of May 16 through mid-July. The closure is needed for crews to safely replace the culvert that allows a tributary of Wolf Island Creek to pass under the road.
Drivers will be detoured to follow Harrison Street (N.C. 65/87) and Wentworth Street to access points on either side of the work zone during the closure.
People traveling in this area are urged to be mindful of crews entering and exiting the work zone and to factor the detour into their travel plans.
