DENVER – Starting today, an N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will be closing a portion of a state highway in Lincoln County for several days for a bridge repair.
Starting at 9 a.m., one lane of N.C. 73 will be closed at Bridge 50, which carries traffic over the Catawba River. This closure is necessary to allow crews to make repairs to the end bents of the bridge. The lane will remain closed until work is complete on May 25.
Motorists are reminded to remain alert for road workers and to use extra caution when traveling through the work zone.
