DURHAM – The intersection where O’Kelly Chapel Road meets N.C. 751 will be realigned over the next several months to improve traffic safety.
Starting June 6, Department of Transportation contractors will begin work on realigning the intersection by grading, upgrading traffic signals and altering pavement markings.
The work is set to take place during non-peak driving hours and should have minimal traffic impacts, though motorists should take care when driving through the work zone.
The project is expected to be completed in the late fall.
