WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close lanes on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County this Sunday and Monday for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following nightly closures are scheduled to take place from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
On June 26, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from Peters Creek Parkway to west of Stratford Road.
On June 26, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from Hanes Mall Boulevard to Peters Creek Parkway.
On June 26, one of two lanes is scheduled to be closed on I-40 East from Union Cross Road to the Guilford County Line.
On June 27, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from U.S. 52 to west of Peters Creek Parkway.
On June 27, two of three lanes are scheduled to be closed on I-40 West from the Guilford County line to Union Cross Road.
The following nightly closures are scheduled to take place from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning:
On June 26, the ramp from I-40 West to Stratford Road is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
On June 26, the ramp from Stratford Road to I-40 West is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
On June 26, the ramp from Highway 66 to I-40 East is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
On June 27, the ramp from Peters Creek Parkway to I-40 West is scheduled to be closed with a signed detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zone and plan accordingly for delays.
