ROBBINSVILLE – The N.C. Department of Transportation invites the public to provide input on a proposed project to remove an old bridge from a circular road in Graham County.
The informal, drop-in meeting will be held from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 4 at Robbinsville Elementary School, 54 Moose Branch Road in Robbinsville. With no formal presentation, the public may participate in the meeting at any time.
NCDOT is proposing the removal of a bridge located in the middle of Mill Creek Road — a loop road — that has access to Tallulah Road at both ends. The current bridge has reached the end of its service. NCDOT will construct turnarounds on both sides of the bridge.
Right-of-way acquisition is scheduled to start in fiscal year 2023 with construction beginning one year later.
