CHARLOTTE – Tonight, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue a bridge rehabilitation project on Interstate 277 in Charlotte. All closures are weather dependent and subject to change.
Several ramps will be closed each night this week through Monday morning, Dec. 5:
- From I-77 North, U.S. 74 West, S. Clarkson Street, E. Morehead Street, E. Fourth Street, South Boulevard, and E. Brooklyn Village Avenue to the outer loop
- From the outer loop to I-77 South, U.S. 74 East, Carson Boulevard, S. College Street, E. Third Street, South Boulevard, and Kenilworth Avenue
The closures are scheduled from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. Monday night – Friday morning, from 9 p.m. to 9 a.m. Friday night – Saturday morning, and from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m. Saturday night – Sunday morning.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use extra caution while going through the work zones. They also need to pay extra attention to the road for their own safety, as well as any occupants of other vehicles and the construction crews in the area.
