KERNERSVILLE – N.C. Department of Transportation contractors will have a slow-moving operation on Interstate 40 tonight to allow crews to safely conduct work tied into the Winston-Salem Northern Beltway project.
From midnight until 4 a.m., crews will remove high mast light poles between mile markers 196 and 203 that are adjacent to the ramps at Union Cross Road on the eastbound and westbound sides of the interstate.
Motorists are advised to use U.S. 421/Salem Parkway to avoid potential delays.
Motorists are encouraged to allow extra time and use caution while approaching the area.
