KERNERSVILLE – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close the shoulder of a highway in Forsyth County for one week to complete a maintenance project.
At 8 a.m. on Dec. 7, the right shoulder of the N.C. 74 ramp to access U.S. 421 (Exit 53) will be closed near the bridge over Kerners Mill Creek. This closure is necessary to allow crews to install a new drainage box and pipe on the slope embankment. Depending on the weather, work is expected to be complete by Dec. 14.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and remain alert while traveling through the area.
