CHARLOTTE– Next week, CSX Railroad crews will close N.C.16/Brookshire Boulevard at the railroad crossing for 24 hours to safely perform scheduled maintenance.
The closure will be in place from 7 p.m. Dec. 12 until 7 p.m. Dec. 13, weather permitting. Crews will be replacing railroad ties at the crossing, then resurfacing the road.
Southbound drivers will be detoured from N.C. 16 to Lawton, Rozzelles Ferry and N. Hoskins roads, returning to N.C. 16. Northbound drivers follow this detour in reverse.
