CHARLOTTE – Tonight, N.C. Department of Transportation contract crews will continue a bridge rehabilitation project on Interstate 277 in uptown Charlotte.
Several ramps to and from the inner loop will close from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. each night this week, ending Monday morning.
Entrance ramps to the inner loop will close from I-77 North, U.S. 74 West, East Third Street, Church Street, South Boulevard and East Brooklyn Village Avenue.
Exit ramps from the inner loop will close to I-77 North, U.S. 74 East, East Fourth Street and South Boulevard.
Contract crews will also refresh pavement markings on bridges in the Brookshire Freeway section, requiring a slow-moving operation Thursday and Friday nights.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and use extra caution while going through the work zones.
