WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close a section of Interstate 40 East in Forsyth County over the weekend for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
On Sunday and Monday, from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning, one of two lanes will close on I-40 East from N.C. 66 to the Guilford County Line.
On Sunday, from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, the onramp from N.C. 66 to I-40 East will be closed with a detour, utilizing U.S. 421 to access I-40 East.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
