WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will close lanes and a ramp on Interstate 40 West in Forsyth County over three nights for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following closures are scheduled from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Tonight and Thursday, two of three lanes will close on I-40 West from Peters Creek Parkway to Hanes Mall Boulevard.
- Wednesday, two of three lanes will close on I-40 West from U.S. 52 to west of Peters Creek Parkway.
Tonight, the offramp from I-40 West to Hanes Mall Boulevard will also be closed from 9 p.m. – 6 a.m. the following morning with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
