​STANLEYVILLE - Two daily lane closures may impact drivers next week in Forsyth County.
The southbound right lane of Interstate 285/U.S. 52 South will close at mile marker 105 starting at 7:00 a.m. June 12 for shoulder pavement repairs.
The lane will reopen by 4:00 p.m. the same day, and close June 13 for the same duration.
In addition, the northbound right lane on U.S. 52 will close at mile marker 115 starting at 9:00 a.m. June 14.
This closure will also include the ramp to University Parkway at Exit 115A as improvements are made to the pavement and ramp. The lane and ramp are anticipated to reopen by 4:00 p.m. that day.
A signed detour will encourage motorists to continue north on U.S. 52 to Hanes Mill Boulevard at Exit 116. Drivers may then turn East to return to University Parkway.
The work is part of ongoing slab repair efforts to take place two days per week throughout the summer.
Motorists are encouraged to slow down and use caution when approaching the work zone and detour.
