WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane and ramp closures along Interstate 40 West in Forsyth County this weekend for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
The following lane closures are scheduled on I-40 West from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. the following morning:
- Sunday, one of two lanes will close on I-40 West from N.C. 66 to Union Cross Road.
- Monday, one of two lanes close on I-40 West from High Point Road to the I-74/I-40 interchange.
The following ramp closures and detours are scheduled from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning:
- Sunday, the onramp from N.C. 66 to I-40 West is scheduled to be closed with a detour.
- Monday, the offramp from I-40 West to I-74 East (Exit 196) is scheduled to be closed with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
