LEXINGTON – The N.C. Department of Transportation will close a section of highway in Davidson County for two days next week for a bridge maintenance project.
From 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, the U.S. 64 bridge that carries traffic over U.S. 29/70 will be closed with a detour. The road will only be closed while maintenance is being performed and reopened daily after work hours.
Motorists are advised to allow extra time for their regular commute due to the detour.
