WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement an overnight lane and ramp closure on Interstate 40 West in Forsyth County tonight for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project.
From 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning, one of two lanes of the interstate will close from High Point Road to the I-74/I-40 interchange.
From 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. the following morning, the offramp from I-40 West to I-74 East (Exit 196) will close with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
