WINSTON-SALEM – An N.C. Department of Transportation contractor will implement overnight lane and ramp closures on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County tonight for an ongoing rehabilitation and bridge preservation project, weather permitting.
- Two of three lanes will close in both directions of I-40 from the I-74/I-40 interchange to Clemmonsville Road from 8 p.m. – 5 a.m. the following morning.
- The offramp from I-74 West to I-40 East (Exit 55) will close from 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. the following morning with a detour.
- The offramp from I-40 West to N.C. 109 (Exit 195) will close from 10 p.m. - 6 a.m. the following morning with a detour.
Motorists should use caution while traveling through the work zones and plan accordingly for delays.
