GARNER – Work on the Complete 540 project is scheduled to continue this week with overnight closures planned along Interstate 40.
Weather permitting, I-40 East is set to close at U.S. 70 East (Exit 309) from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights. I-40 East traffic will be detoured along U.S. 70 East and N.C. 42 West to return to the interstate.
Drivers should factor this detour into their trips and be mindful of the crews they encounter throughout the work zone.
