ROCKY MOUNT – The N.C. Division of Motor Vehicles will open a new license plate agency (LPA) on Aug. 1 in southern Wake County.
The new agency will be located at 1421 East Broad St. in Fuquay-Varina, and will be open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday, except on state holidays. The agency replaces one that closed in Holly Springs in August 2022 and will be operated by Alice Parrish.
In North Carolina, NCDMV oversees LPAs, but the agencies are managed by private businesses or local governments.
LPAs offer vehicle registration services and title transactions, as well as vehicle license plate renewals, replacement tags, handicap placards and duplicate registrations. There are 127 license plate agencies operating across North Carolina.
