CHARLOTTE – A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will resume a project to improve ramps along Interstate 277 on Monday night with additional closures tentatively scheduled for other nights as well.
Each closure will begin no earlier than 9 p.m. with the connections open again by 6 a.m. the following morning. Other possible overnight closures this week include the following:
• Exit 242 from U.S. 74 West to I-277
• Lane closure on I-277 Outer from Exit 242 to Graham Street
• Exits 3A to North Davidson and Exit 3B to North Tryon
• Off-ramps to I-277 from 12th Street
Transportation officials remind drivers to plan ahead, remain alert and obey all posted traffic signs when driving in Charlotte.
