CREEDMOOR – A section of a local road is set to close for about two weeks to safely conduct maintenance work.
Weather permitting, crews plan to close North Elm Street between West Lyon and West Hillsboro streets starting at 9 a.m. Monday to begin replacing an old drainage system.
During the planned, two-week work period, drivers will be directed to follow a short detour along West Hillsboro Street, U.S. 15, Lake Road, N.C. 50 and West Lyon Street to access points on either side of the closure.
Drivers should anticipate the detour and be mindful of crews working in this area.
