ALBERTSON – Several miles of N.C. 111 will be closed for the next couple of weeks to allow N.C. Department of Transportation maintenance staff to safely replace drainage pipes.
The highway between Outlaws Bridge Road and N.C. 11 is scheduled to be closed from Oct. 23 to Nov. 4. During the closure, crews will replace four pipes prior to the roadway being resurfaced.
Drivers will be detoured onto N.C. 55, N.C. 403, Summerlins Crossroad Road, Tram Road and N.C. 11/N.C. 903.
NCDOT encourages drivers to plan ahead as their commute will take longer than normal and use caution around the work zone.
