RALEIGH- Crews plan to close Wade Avenue ramps to Interstate 440 West by midnight. Traffic headed from Wade Avenue onto I-440 West will shift to a new ramp and regain access to Hillsborough Street tomorrow morning. Drivers on I-440 West will regain access to Hillsborough Street by way of a temporary exit by Nov. 20., weather permitting.
Traffic from Wade Avenue onto I-440 West will shift to a new ramp Wednesday morning, giving drivers access to Hillsborough Street that they have not had since a closure went into place Nov. 5. Drivers on I-440 West from Wade Avenue are expected to regain access to Hillsborough Street by next Monday morning.
Transportation officials remind drivers to remain alert, obey all posted traffic signs and follow instructions of local law enforcement in active work zones.
