WINSTON SALEM– N.C. Department of Transportation crews will temporarily close one lane on Interstate 40 in Forsyth County for bridge repairs.
Starting Monday at 9 a.m., the left lane will close near Thomasville Road (mile marker 195.5) on I-40 East crossing under N.C. 109. The closure is needed for crews to safely make repairs to the bridge bearing. All lanes are expected to reopen by 3 p.m.
Drivers should plan for this construction, and while in the work zone, remain alert and obey all posted traffic signs.
