GREENSBORO – A three-month road closure with an on-site detour will allow N.C. Department of Transportation Contractor to use offroad dump trucks to haul material.
On April 23 at 7 p.m., crews will close Eckerson Road in both directions near Reedy Fork Parkway. The road is scheduled to reopen on July 23.
A signed detour will guide traffic to Reedy Fork Parkway, Summit Avenue, U.S. 29 South and Hicone Road back to Eckerson Road.
The closure is needed for crews to safely haul borrow material needed for the US 29/Reedy Fork Intersection Improvement nearby.
Drivers should remain cautious and alert when approaching the work zone and factor the detour into their trips.
