Now through the end of January, organizations can apply online for federal grants that can be used for highway safety projects that prevent speeding, impaired and distracted, and aggressive driving.
Grants can also go toward projects that make North Carolina safer for pedestrians and cyclists.
Grant applications are for projects that will occur during the 2025 federal fiscal year, from Oct. 1, 2024, through Sept. 30, 2025.
Interested applicants can register through the ‘N.C. Department of Transportation Enterprise Business Services Portal’ and send the completed registration form to GHSPSecurity@ncdot.gov.
