Sampson County Highway Dedication
On Wednesday, NCDOT staff joined state and local officials to honor Jefferson B. Strickland, a lifelong resident of Sampson County.
The section of North Carolina Highway 24 between Underwood and Dixie roads now bears Strickland’s name.
Strickland held various roles in public office and was instrumental in developing and widening N.C. Highway 24 to better serve the community’s growing transportation needs.
Office of Civil Rights Opportunities Tour
Speaking of growth, NCDOT’s Office of Civil Rights recently held its second Opportunities Tour: Conversations to Contracts outreach event at the Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Raleigh.
These bilingual workshops are for small construction and professional services firms who want to improve their businesses and learn how to work with NCDOT.
Disaster Recovery Workshop
