​RALEIGH- Construction will close a section of Hillsborough Street near Blue Ridge Road as part of the Interstate 440 Blue Ridge Road project​.
Weather permitting, Hillsborough Street will close near the fairgrounds Sunday night into Monday morning for two weeks, reopening the morning of March 2. Crews will work on relocating a water line. Detours for this closure will follow I-440 and Western Boulevard or Youth Center Drive, Trinity Road, and Blue Ridge Road.
As part of this work, traffic will revert to its previous two-lane pattern along Hillsborough Street and Blue Ridge Road at the jughandle connector.
Drivers should pay close attention to the detour signs, be cautious while traveling through the work zone, and allow extra time for the detour.
