JACKSONVILLE – A section of Blue Creek Road southwest of Jacksonville is scheduled to close for a couple of weeks for maintenance.
The roadway near Jim Blake Road will close at 8 a.m. Feb. 26 and reopen by March 8. The N.C. Department of Transportation will replace a deteriorating culvert at the crossing of Southwest Creek.
Traffic will be detoured during work and should use Pony Farm Road, Foy Lockamy Road and N.C. 53 (Burgaw Highway). Drivers should anticipate a longer commute and plan ahead, and slow down and remain alert near the work zone.
