STATESVILLE – Iredell County drivers will soon have a smoother ride on 16 segments of secondary roads, thanks to a $5.1 million contract awarded by the N.C. Department of Transportation.
The contract awarded to Maymead Inc. of Mountain City, Tennessee includes milling, resurfacing, and shoulder reconstruction.
Roads incorporated in the resurfacing contract include:
- Cooley Road
- Kemp Road
- Chatworth Lane
- McNess Road
- Lentz Road
- Dunlap Gate Road
- N. Chipley Ford Road
- Perry Road/Hoover Road/Creeks Edge Lane
- Wilson Lee Boulevard
- Medical Park Road
- Eastside Drive
- E. Broad Street
- Old Mountain Road
- Snow Creek Road
- East Monbo Road
Work can start as early as April 1 and should be completed in the fall of 2025.
