RALEIGH – A smoother ride is coming to five roads in Vance and Granville counties thanks to a $13 million contract recently awarded by the N.C. Department of Transportation.
S.T. Wooten will mill and resurface pavement and reconstruct shoulders along the 11 miles of secondary roads. A few of the sections include Hicksboro Road from Morgan Road to Kelly Road, Pine View Road at Ruin Creek Road and Jones Road from Stagecoach Road to Clarence Green Road.
The contractor can start work as early as this month and is set to complete the project by late 2025.
