RALEIGH – People are invited to participate in the 2024 N.C. Department of Transportation Mobi Awards by voting for their favorite multimodal transportation project.
The NCDOT Mobi Awards celebrate North Carolina's best multimodal transportation projects and has six award categories. An esteemed panel of judges from within NC will select winners in five of the categories.
But the sixth category, Most Voted Project, gives the public an opportunity to go online and vote for the project they believe is the state's best.
“Public voting in the Most Voted Project category allows community members to have a direct say in recognizing the transportation projects that have significantly improved their daily lives," said Julie White, deputy secretary for Multimodal Transportation at the NCDOT. “These multimodal investments are vital for fostering sustainable growth and enhancing the quality of life across North Carolina. We are excited to see which projects the public will champion this year."
This year, people will be able to select from among 20 entries, showcasing a range of projects including rail, aviation, bicycle and pedestrian transportation. Voting runs until midnight Aug. 7.
The project with the most votes will receive the coveted “Most Voted Project" award.
You can vote up to three times a day. To cast your vote and learn more about the projects, visit the MOBI Awards voting page at NCDOT MOBI Awards.
Winners from all six categories in this year's contest will be announced at noon Oct. 11 during a luncheon at the Raleigh Convention Center, 500 South Salisbury St.
