​GREENVILLE - Contract crews for the N.C. Department of Transportation will have lane closures on a section of Portertown Road​ for several days this week.
From 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. beginning March 12, contractors from Fred Smith Co. will utilize a lane closure from N.C. 33/10th Street to the roundabout at Firetower Road for mill patching work.
A pilot vehicle will guide motorists through the closure as crews work to address potholes and pavement degradation on the stretch of roadway.
This lane closure will take place daily through March 14.
Drivers are advised to use caution when approaching the work zone and pay attention to message boards and work zone signage.
Motorists should also plan for delays during the course of this work and utilize DriveNC.gov for real-time traffic information.
