WHITEVILLE – A section of N.C. 905 (Seven Creeks Highway) in Columbus County near the Brunswick County border will close for most of June for drainage improvements.
A combination of maintenance workers for the N.C. Department of Transportation and contract crews will replace a crossline pipe underneath the highway north of its junction with N.C. 904.
The road is scheduled to close to through-traffic between June 2-27.
The signed detour will send traffic onto N.C. 904, Ramsey Ford Road and Big Cypress Road. Drivers should expect delays using the detour and be alert near the barricaded work site.
