Pipe replacements scheduled for Sampson County Roads

SAMPSON – A couple of Sampson County roads are scheduled to close to traffic next week while crews conduct maintenance. 

Crews will also close a portion of Panhandle Road Near McCullen Road at 7 a.m. June 16 and plan to reopen it by 5 p.m. June 18, weather permitting.

During the closure, motorists are advised to take North McCullen Road and Keener Road alternatively.

Then, beginning at 8 p.m. June 17, crews will close a section of Huntley School Road near Tyndall Bridge Road.  Weather permitting the road will reopen by 5:30 p.m. June 18. Maintenance staff will replace a pipe during the closure.

While it is closed, drivers are advised to take alternate roads such as Tyndall Bridge Road, Fann School Road, and Horse Pasture Road.

Drivers should plan ahead, allow extra travel time, and use caution in the work zone.
