GREENVILLE - A contractor for the N.C. Department of Transportation will temporarily close J C Galloway Road over Cow Swamp next week.
Beginning the morning of July 14, crews from S.T. Wooten will begin work to remove and replace the 48-year-old bridge while also improving the roadway drainage structures.
Work is anticipated to be completed by this Christmas, weather permitting.
Drivers will be rerouted to take Lum Buck, Hudson Crossroads and Blackjack Grimesland roads to access either side of the closure.
