RALEIGH – Contractors for the N.C. Department of Transportation plan to close a section of Hillsborough Street.
Crews will close Hillsborough Street near Interstate 440 in both directions nightly July 21-July 25 from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m., weather permitting.
Westbound Hillsborough Street drivers will detour via I-440 East (Exit 4) to Wade Ave, then I-440 West back to Hillsborough Street.
Eastbound drivers will use I-440 West to Western Boulevard (Exit 2), then I-440 East to return.
Motorists are advised to anticipate potential delays and drive with increased caution while traveling through the overnight work zone.
